Severe Weather Project Reflection
Summary: In this project I was partnered with Jessica and Sydney and we did a news broadcast. I enjoyed working in a group and pretending to be news broadcasters. My favorite part was filming the broadcast.

Backward-Looking: One problem that we kept having was scheduling a time to shoot the news broadcast. First we were going to do it last Wednesday then last Sunday then this Wednesday, but since the weather was nice on Monday we got to shoot the broadcast. Another problem we encountered was actually shooting the broadcast. It took us many times until we could finally get the film right.
Inward-Looking: Our goals did change as we worked. Jessica, Sydney, and I would try really hard to finish the goals we put on our goal setting sheet. If we didn't finish we would assign ourselves homework, but if there wasn't a lot left we would carry it on to the next day. If we finished our goal for the day with time left we would set new goals and try to start on them early. So our goals changed as we finished our old goals.
Outward-Looking: Most of our work wasn't similar to other students projects because we did a news broadcast and only another group did that. The other group gave us the idea of adding a commercial since our broadcast without a commercial was 2:31.Most of the ideas we thought of though were like credits at the end. Another one I thought of was adding in my Gatorade bottle in the drought scene. Our group did most things differently than other students.
Forward-Looking: If I had a chance to redo the project I would. I would do different kinds of extreme weather. This time our group thought to do two types of extreme weather that are total opposites maybe next time my group may choose to do two similar kinds of extreme weather cases. It would be nice to experience this project with a different group. I wouldn't change my project to a slide show, board game, or trading cards because I enjoyed the process of finding information, writing the script and filming the broadcast. I really enjoyed this project and hope to do something like it again.
