Summary: My group and I continued to work on our soil research and completed the document. From this I learned a few key things to remember:
- Soil is composed of organic matter, pieces of broken rock, and minerals
- It is very difficult to identify different types of soil since the mix with other soils and move.
- Soil is very valuable even though we don't acknowledge it. We depend on soil for food, clothing, to hold buildings steady, and much more.
- Soil is eroded by water most of the time.
- Soil loss can be prevented by planting trees and other plants because the roots help to hold the soil in one place.
