09/26 Organelle Trail

I learned that the nucleus controls all activity of the cell.  I learned that chloroplast and the cell wall are only found in plant cells. Backward-Looking I encountered a few problems, especially not knowing what words meant.  I tried using context clues, but when I still couldn't figure it out I tried looking the definition on the computer. When I still had trouble I tried using different keywords.

09/19 The Cell

I learned that all your cells are really a duplicate of one cell.  I learned that all the cells in your body  can reproduce, but two cells can't conjoin. Backward-Looking I did not know a lot about cells, but I knew that all living things are made up of cells.  I didn't know that cells reproduced, I thought they formed in our bodies.  Something that surprised me was that there are about a trillion different types of cells.

3-2-1

I learned that you can't change the control variable.  I am confident that I can tell the difference between a hypothesis and a prediction.  I wish that you will help me understand the scientific method more.

Letter to the School Board

Dear School Board, Adventure science should continue because it is an important class.  It is important because it is a great way for students to learn and have fun at the same time.  Science is a wonderful way to discover new things. Science teaches everyone new and exciting things.  Science teaches us about the unknown and crazy mysteries. Science also teaches us how things work.  Science can teach everyone about so many different things. Science also crosses subjects.  For instance, in math we problem solve, we do the same in science. Science and history connect to, like learning about time periods is learning about science.  In almost all classes we explain and in science we explain what happens in our experiments. Science and our lives are tied together more than you think.  Science is everywhere and sometimes we don't even notice.  Science has a big impact on our lives and so it is important we learn about science.   We benefit f...

Welcome

Three things I like about this class is that we do a lot of hands-on work, we watch a lot of videos about science and I love how we use so much technology.
